Extra Torture

These photos were in a folder labeled ‘Extra Torture’.

They are presented here in the order they were in when received by the estate.

This provocatively titled folder didn’t have much in it. I’ve wondered if it was intended to be a working folder that was abandoned, or if photos that started here were moved to other subject areas. Both ideas are pure speculation.

The other thing it reminds me of is that most of the evidence of torture was testimony from the victims. There is also testimony from National Guard members and others that they were kept out of the exact areas where the torture victims said their abuse happened. There aren’t a lot of photos, by design.
